Journal of a French Illustrator

After I landed from the first flight of my life in Tokyo, I knew that one day I would have to lay on paper the fascinating landscapes and everyday life sceneries I saw there. As many other people do, I left for a time my pencil behind, but ever since then I started feeling an itch...

A few years later, as I went back to France after living in Japan for 5 years, I felt the time came for my itch to get released, so I let it go!

From the chanting Galoubet accompanying the buzzing Provence Drums in the Village festivals to the lively dancers of Awa dance in Tokyo, this portfolio aims at rendering the liveliness of local festivals.

As I am preparing the next ink drawing ideas, I would be glad to give you a relaxing time.
